Hancock Red Fox is in training with Luke Jones. He has found him to be willing and easy to train, he is very consistent and steady in his progress. Luke says that what he teaches him today he remembers tomorrow and is ready to move forward. Red Fox is started on heeling and shows lots of interest and potential.

"I still think that Mr Junewood And Blue Fox Hancock are two of the better horses I ever rode, and I think enough of them that I am incorporating their bloodlines in to my brood mares." ~ Shot Branham

I purchased Junewoods Gerrie in May of 2006 as a 3 year old. He is everything we wanted in a stallion. His temperament is that of a gelding, he is a quick learner, quiet and very easy to get along with. His attitude in the show arena is pure business. Jimmy Bryant, our trainer has him qualified for the AQHA World Show in Jr heeling and points in heading. My wife and I are very proud of Drifter and would like to thank Sam Shoultz for the help and encouragement he has given us in our first year of showing.

Sam, this colt is amazing. He acts like he is to lazy to eat but performs with all the energy and sense of urgency you could ask for. Jimmy has an 8 year old daughter that rides him like she owns him. He never acts up and seems to take care of her. She actually warms him up at shows.

Sam, Just wanted to update you on Drifter. We will show him at the Holiday Circuit in Tulsa all 4 days in both heading and heeling. After Tulsa he will go to Lincoln NB for two shows the 13th and 14th of January. We go to San Antonio the 20th and 21, then to Fort Worth the 22nd and finish up in Stephenville the 26th thru the 29th. We also plan on taking him to the Dixie Nationals in February. He is doing really good in heading and heeling. We have started him on calf roping, just break away for now. That is going to be his strong event. He is a natural and has a stop that is unreal. I will let you know how he does in Tulsa. As you can probably tell, I am still pretty proud of my horse. Thanks, Virgil Jones

My 2 year old grandchildren have been taking turns sitting on both of my yearlings and "Smoke" has walked around with them on his back without a care.

We took Junewoods Gerrie (Drifter) to the Buckskin World. We entered him in 3 classes, heading, heeling and steer stopping. He finished 5th in heading, 4th in steer stopping and the trainer missed in healing. He performed up to our expectations in each class and was a perfect gentleman all the way. He will only get better from here, that was his first show. There was lot of interest in him. I know I sound excited about him but I am very proud to own a horse like him. The trainer that was training my Hancock Silver Tonka colt when we lost him found Drifter. They decided to buy him for me because they knew I was looking for a buckskin with his breeding. I am 62 years old but feel like a kid when I am around Drifter and watching him perform. Drifter has probably been pushed harder than most horses his age because Jimmy Bryant, his trainer, wants to qualify him for the world in 2007. He responds to Jimmys training as if he knows what we are trying to accomplish. Sorry for being so windy but I wanted to let you know how he is doing.

"I just wanted to let you know Ciscos Blue Junewood (Mr Junewood x Bar S Lady Blue) is the sweetest, calmest, smartest little stud I have ever been around. We are so thrilled with him. We've been saddling him and leading him with our seven year old since last summer and he is just dog gentle and GORGEOUS! Sierras Rojo Fox (Rojo Valentine x Sierras Fox) is even better. We've had numerous offers on her because of her uncanny gentleness and beautiful looks and temper - but we'll never sell her! She has also been saddled and led with our son and is just an amazing girl! We are saving for another of your wonderful horses in August 2005. Can't wait to see you there! Thanks again for raising such amazing animals!!!" Aleta and her family purchased these two horses as weanlings at our 2003 sale.

"Plentywood stays sound and quiet no matter what I put him through. His colts are colorful and hit the ground gentle. Thanks!" Aaron Sanders purchased Ikes Plentywood (3/4 brother to Mr Junewood) from us in 2002.

"Last spring, I started five or six of Sam's colts. All were easy to start. I still say that these horses are some of the easiest and nicest colts that I have ever worked with."

"MJ is the best horse I ever rode, start to finish. With everything he has done, he still has that "try" and is still improving. Heis not at the top of his game yet."
