KeSa Quarter Horses

Sam Shoultz and Ken Matzner are co-owners of KeSa Quarter Horses. They have spent decades carefully selecting and breeding the horses that are the core of our program today. The ultimate goal is to create horses that are good-minded, well-structured and athletic. They have successfully used two foundation bloodlines (Driftwoods, Hancocks. plus Peppy San and Leo) to create just that. Sam handles most of the operation and breeding decisions of the program. He has succeeded in producing quality horses and continues to improve his herd and the quality that they produce each year.

Andrea Brereton is our farm manager and graduated from Colorado State University in December 2008, with a Bachelor's in Equine Science. Anna was a member of the CSU Polo club and played on the varsity team. She was a teaching assistant for the CSU colt training class in fall 2008 after participating in the class '07-'08, and came highly recomended to us. Anna has spent many years around horses most of which were dedicated to the sport of polo. She joined our team in December 2008.

Nikki Syme graduated from Colorado State University in May 2009 with a Bachelor's in Equine Science and a minor in Business Administration. She was a member of the CSU Versitility Ranch Horse team and was a part of the CSU colt training class '07-'08 and was a teaching assistant for the '08-'09 class. Nikki began riding at the age of 7 and has experience in many disciplines including western and english pleasure, reining and working cowhorse. She joined us in June 2009 and has been a great addition.

Lindsay Adler and Lindsey Evans were are our 2009 summer interns and have since joined us part time. Both were a part of the '08-'09 CSU colt training class. They are spent the summer starting some of our two year old fillies, halter breaking weanlings and helping prepare for our annual sale.
