Extraordinary Escapades of KeSa
Is it spring or winter?
Well here it is again May, the time of year when we are in full swing of foaling and getting ready to turn mares out with the stallions on summer pasture. This year is a little different, we have been blessed with a white winter blanket, that's right snow and more than just a dusting. It has snowed twice in the past two weeks, just far enough apart that we were drying out from the first snow to snow again. We have been awfully dry all fall and winter so it is a blessing in disguise, although we are in the thick of foaling it makes you nervous that it's this chilly outside but that's the way the cookie crumbles. I would rather have this moisture to help out the pastures rather than having to feed hay year round. We are now at 28 foals and going strong, all are healthy and alive. We are also gearing up for the busy summer of starting colts for our sale and preparing the catalog
